El Cajón del Azul is one of the many mountain refuges in the Andes Mountains near El Bolsón, in Rio Negro, Argentina. This space in the middle of the mountains is world-famous. Forest surrounds it, and from there you can see the Azul river, which gives its name to the place.
The tour can be done on foot in approximately four hours one way and three hours back. The excursion can be done during the day, but in order to enjoy all that the place has to offer, it is advisable to make a stop at one of the shelters to spend the night or camp.
Definitely, a place you have to visit if you are in Rio Negro.
